My Week In Words | #52 2015

"Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared."

Welcome to this edition of My Week In Words which isn't actually a week in words but in fact four days in words. I decided since Christmas week is pretty eventful I would break it down into two posts. Leading up to Christmas and then Christmas Eve, Day and Boxing Day a post of their own. So this post covers from Sunday 20th to Wednesday 23rd of December. Enjoy!

My Christmas Eve/Day Traditions

"Christmas isn't a season. It's a feeling."
Edna Ferber

I haven't really done any Christmas themed posts this year but I thought since I had a little time on this Christmas Eve while waiting for Eva to come home from work that I would share with you our Christmas Eve/Day traditions. The way we've always spent our Christmas. I love tradition and I don't handle change well. This may be my last Christmas living with my parents, so I have no idea how Christmas will be next year and how we will have to adapt these traditions. I just hope that whatever we end up doing I love it just as much as I have since these traditions started when I was a child.

My Week In Words | #51 2015

"Christmas is a season not only of rejoicing but of reflection."
Winston Churchill

Welcome to My Week In Words. Hard to believe we're up to the week before Christmas! It seems like just yesterday I was writing last year's Christmas posts. Back then I hadn't even started this series. This little blogging hiatus means I haven't been blogging about Christmas this year and I'm a little annoyed at myself for that, but at the same time I think the break has been good for me. Still, I'm glad that I'm finally back up to date with My Week In Words with this post. This edition covers from Sunday 13th to Saturday 19th of December. Enjoy!

My Week In Words | #50 2015

"Don't watch the clock; do what it does. Keep going."
Sam Levenson

Welcome to another instalment of My Week In Words. It wasn't a very eventful week and I didn't take many photos to include in this post. Bad blogger, I know. Just nothing really seemed photo worthy. Hopefully you don't mind the wall of text. This post covers from Sunday 6th to Saturday 12th of December. Enjoy!

My Week In Words | #49 2015

"It's a wonderful thing to be optimistic. It keeps you healthy and it keeps you resilient."
Daniel Kahneman

Welcome to another belated edition of My Week In Words. I'm really hoping to have these updated by Christmas. Thankfully I haven't been up to much the last few weeks so typing these up hasn't been super time consuming. I've just been procrastinating a lot. Anyway, this instalment covers from Sunday 29th of November to Saturday 6th of December. Enjoy!

Friendship Four 2015

"Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow."
Anthony J. D'Angelo

On Friday 27th and Saturday the 28th of November Belfast held the inaugural Friendship Four ice hockey tournament. It was something I had been excited about for months even though I wasn't completely sure what to expect. Four US college teams would take part in what would mark the first time competitive NCAA games would have been played in Europe. They would also be competing to be the first winners of the Belpot Trophy. All very exciting. The teams coming over to take part were Brown, Colgate, Northeastern and, my personal favourite, UMass Lowell. It was my first time seeing college hockey and I was looking forward to seeing the difference between it and what we see in our league. Aside from showcasing college hockey the weekend was to promote education. The teams arrived earlier in the week and had visited schools and such. Many schools and youth clubs had also been given free tickets to the games to promote the sport within Northern Ireland.

My Week In Words | #48 2015

"A smile is a curve that sets everything straight."
Phyllis Diller

Welcome to another belated instalment of My Week In Words. This particular post only covers from Sunday 22nd to Thursday 26th of November as I've decided to give Friday and Saturday their own post. So look out for that and enjoy this post in the mean time.

My Week In Words | #47 2015

"I have never taken any exercise, except sleeping and resting, and I never intend to take any."
Mark Twain

Welcome to this super belated My Week In Words! I've been busy lately and feeling somewhat under the weather so blogging was put on the back burner. I'm still not feeling great but I'm hoping to at least get caught up with My Week In Words before the next is due. This post covers from Sunday 15th to Saturday 21st of November! Last week's will be up in a day or two. Enjoy!
