My Week In Words | #47 2015

"I have never taken any exercise, except sleeping and resting, and I never intend to take any."
Mark Twain

Welcome to this super belated My Week In Words! I've been busy lately and feeling somewhat under the weather so blogging was put on the back burner. I'm still not feeling great but I'm hoping to at least get caught up with My Week In Words before the next is due. This post covers from Sunday 15th to Saturday 21st of November! Last week's will be up in a day or two. Enjoy!

As always I was up for my fry courtesy of my dad on Sunday. It was a game day so after a shower I got ready to head up to the arena. We thought we were cutting it fine for a 4pm face off but as we parked I noticed there wasn't the usual number of fans making their way to the arena. I got a little nervous that I had the wrong day or something but it soon all made sense once I checked Facebook and found the game actually started at 5pm, meaning we had an hour to kill. Eva and I headed for a coffee before the game. We even made it in time to catch the edge of warm ups.

We were playing against the Dundee Stars and we won 3 - 2. Since it was quite a while ago now, I don't really remember much else other than that but I assume Eva and I had a good night at the game. When I got home I chilled for a bit before having supper and then heading to bed.

Dad was off all week as my mum was in England, so Dad got me out of bed and made my breakfast on Monday. Eva was off too. I spent most of the day working on My Week In Words and got it scheduled for Tuesday. In the evening Eva's friend Jodie came over for a bit before they headed into town for drinks to celebrate the life of a friend that had recently passed away. I chilled with them for a bit before they left. When they eventually left did the usual wasting the evening away while browsing online. While I ate supper I watched half a Nashville episode and then headed to bed.

My Week In Words was posted up on Tuesday and you can read it here if you missed it. Dad made me breakfast again and got me out of bed. Eva wasn't starting work until after 1pm so we had time to hang out before she left. Most of that time was spent trying to get our dogs to go to the toilet outside. Anyone else with tiny dogs have trouble getting their dogs to go out in this winter weather? It's highly frustrating. All in all I wasn't feeling very well most of the day. I've been feeling sluggish and worn down lately. My skin has even been playing up. Still, after dinner and watching Hollyoaks I was a little productive and cleaned and weighed my snails.

The only one with any drastic weight change was Argron, which I found surprising since I didn't think he looked like he'd grown much. He'd gone from 75g, or so, to 91g. I had a theory though that perhaps he was carrying eggs. Later in the evening Eva came home from work and we had supper together before I went to bed.

Wednesday was pretty uneventful. I was a little productive working on a post for Thursday but other than that I didn't really do anything worthy of note at all. Or at least if I did I can't remember it.

I posted an Arts 'n' Crafts post about my sticker collection on Thursday and if you missed it you can check it out here. I was still feeling pretty rubbish on Thursday and after breakfast and sitting online for a while I decided there was no reason I couldn't get into bed and do nothing instead. So before it even hit 1pm I got all cuddled up in bed with Edwin and Berty and did some reading on my Kindle.

I ended up having about an hours nap before I eventually got up for dinner. It was a nice, restful day but I still felt pretty rough even after it. In the evening I worked on my Christmas list and then chilled until bed.

Eva was off on Friday so we had breakfast together while we watched some Please Like Me and Girl Meets World, two shows we'd recently introduced each other to. After a few episodes I got started on my custom advent calendar project.

After giving the house a couple of coats of white I left it to dry. In the evening I took part in an interesting Spoonie Speak chat about triggers, one of the most interesting chats I'd taken part in in quite a while as many of the Twitter chats can become repetitive. Especially on the lead up to holidays. I also cleaned out Rue on Friday night. It amuses me that her cage often looks more messy after I've cleaned it out. I wasn't able to get any photos of her but I took a couple of after photos of the clean out.

After what turned out to be one of my most productive days in a while I was looking forward to bed.

I got up late on Saturday and after a fry up breakfast I relaxed for a while. Eva was finishing work around 4:30pm and rather than visiting our grandparents we decided we were going to go into town and see the fireworks they were having for the Christmas lights being switched on. It was freezing so we had to get really wrapped up warm.

Eva didn't think the fireworks were great but I enjoyed them enough. They lasted for about three songs which might not sound a lot but considering how cold it was I thought it was plenty. Though they did finish with Let It Go which I didn't feel was a great choice. Usually they stick to traditional Christmas songs.

When we got home we ordered Chinese food and settled down to watch a film with Dad. We decided to watch Guardians Of The Galaxy. Can't go wrong with a little bit of Chris Pratt, am I right? It took forever for our Chinese food to actually arrive and by the time it did we were completely underwhelmed by it, so I've decided to swear off ordering take out for a while. I keep buying food and wasting it. Though one bit I did enjoy was my duck pancakes but mostly because they were presented so nicely.

It was a nice family night but I was looking forward to bed after being out in the cold earlier in the evening. I still hadn't thawed out completely.
