Oh noes! I've been tagged! #2

So it happened again! I was tagged in a couple of things. The people who tagged me probably think I've forgotten about it, but nope. Here I am weeks later, finally getting this post up! Again I'm going to combine a couple of tags in one post, since I only do one miscellaneous post a week, I figured I'd make the most of it. So on with the tags!

Technically this one should have been done at the start of the year, but as much as I love the fresh start of a new year, I'm a firm believer that it's never too late to take back what's yours. Plus, I'm sure everyone got sick of new years resolution posts. Either way, better late than never! Thank you to Abbie from Another Student Blog for tagging me!

The Take Back What's Yours campaign was created by Chloe of Chloe's Concept. To be honest, I can't explain it as well as she can as it's her brainchild, so here's a link to what it's all about. Basically, the idea is to take back something that you lost for whatever reason. Whether it's your confidence, happiness or ambition. Forget the frivolous or unrealistic new years resolutions and take back what's really important. I hope that makes sense.

You're supposed to take a photo of yourself holding a piece of paper saying what you're taking back, but I'm not in a position to do that right now. So I guess I'll just have to tell you!

I feel like over the years my dreams have gotten smaller and smaller. Obviously with my disability, some of them had to change, but somewhere along the way I just stopped. I got too afraid of wanting things or hoping for things in case I was left disappointed. I never pushed myself to make goals or try to achieve them. I became complacent. It's something I've already been working on this year, and I hope to continue. This is the year I finally start to take back my dreams, whether they be old dreams or new dreams.

You can follow Chloe on twitter @chloesconcept or the campaign @TBWYcampaign. Also check out #takebackwhatsyours for more blog posts and see what other's are taking back!

I was nominated by Rebecca from She In The Know to do the Liebster Award! I love me some questions to answer! So on with Rebecca's questions.

1.What is your favourite thing about blogging? Do you find it challenging?
Being able to unload. I don't open up to people very well, so it feels good to have somewhere I can be open and honest and not worry about one specific person's reaction or feelings, but at the same time I can find like minded people. I do find it challenging. I procrastinate a lot, but I'm working on that.

2.Where would you like to be 5 years from now?
Gosh, I'm trying to work out where I want to be five days from now. Hrm, I hope to still be doing my blog, living in my own place and perhaps in a relationship!

3. Top 2 places you would like to visit.
This is a bit of a cheat, but I want to do a road trip around Europe. I'd also love to visit Ground Zero. I don't know why.

4. Do you have a favorite dish?
Yep! Christmas dinner, every time.

5. Name three things you couldn't live without.
My family, my pets and technology. Is that too vague...?

6. What is your favorite season?
Spring! It's my birthday, and I like that it's not too warm or too cold and it's when baby animals are born.

7. Do you have a weird/wacky talent?
Uhm, I'm not sure you could consider it a talent... but I can fit my hand through a toilet roll tube and wear it on my wrist.

8. Favorite novel?
Ugh, tough one. Probably To Kill A Mockingbird. I loved reading it at school and it's overall message. That or Anne Frank's diary.

9. When do you feel most productive?
Like, time wise? In the evening. Other wise, just when I'm getting out of the house or when I'm getting blog work done. Especially if I have a post ready a couple of days before it needs posted.

10. Do you have any fears? If so what are they.
Sea creatures. Particularly Orcas, even though they're probably one of my favourite animals. Car journeys, not being able to swallow or breathe. Coming across badly in social situations.

11. Favorite blogger.
Uhm, pass... I dislike answering this because I have many and I'm always worried I'm going to forget someone. I will give my sister Eva a shout out though. I guess I could say she's my favourite blogger, because I love that it's something we now share. She can be found at http://evostick.blogspot.co.uk/

I've decided since I was tagged in a few things lately, I'm not going to nominate anyone to do either of these. I feel bad nominating the same people all the time. I guess I have to get to know more bloggers! However, I would urge everyone to check out the Take Back What's Yours campaign and also the two bloggers that nominated me for these. Thanks again to you both.

  1. I think spring is my favorite season too - not too cold, not too hot... just perfect!

I read and welcome all comments and appreciate them greatly even if I may not answer all of them. I love hearing my reader's thoughts and interacting with you. Thanks!
